Is it coming?... I've had a look at the latest Blog Code of Conduct controversy in my latest Blog -
Short Cuts
.
I'd be interested in your opinion.

I think the bigger question is who cares?
the idea of a code of conduct is laughable. 99% of blogs are the inane ramblings of some random person that your neither know or care about. At least before they were safely contained in diaries.
It's the me generation. "Look, I have something interesting and witty to say, look what I did on Friday night, look what my mental friend drank etc."

I think you are right Nerraw.... there is an element of narcissism in Blogging.
I don't believe that to be the case with the CLUAS Blogs to date. Most seem to be informed and interesting pieces derived to inform and provoke. That's certainly what I've been trying to do (though it is arguable whether I have achieved my aim thus far). As a CLUAS regular from its inception, I'm working on my Blog to try to influence what CLUAS does, plus the immediacy of being able to upload content is attractive.
It seems as if my Blog has been a less than qualified success thus far. It certainly is a challenge. But thanks for your point.

Apologies bit of a rant there. But I just feel the whole blog thing is being over exagerrated here.
Some of them are quite good and are informative. The vast majority are rubbish and are copy and paste jobs from one blog to another and comments are from other bloggers. The idea of a blog’s code of conduct is a bit silly and self important
The fact that 20 major is the most popular blog at the moment is insane.
Blogs are great for music though.

Blogs are decent for tunes and a bit of a lauh. However most are the daily diary of self obsessed students and journos.
Inane constant ramblings about themselves, what they think of the world, and ahemmm..thesmselves., a little about the news and ahemmm some more on themeselves and how fookin deadly they are..
b*ll*x , all b*ll*x....like those bebo yokes...how self obsessed would you have to be to go to the bother of sticking photos of yourself and your mingin mates who think they're gorgeous on the web? and then discuss them? and writing how ye think the trip to oz was such a life finder and how getting u first real job is such a mind fook.and that ur realy 28 and live with yer ma.
anyone over the age of 18 has no business being a teenager. bloggers and bebo spastics who dont post tunes and news about something newsworthy should fook off and stick to posting the odd rant here like i do.
