Villa R releases its debut album ‘songs from the apex’ on disque fridge records on March 5th, 2007. The record, written by Hungarian resident Eóin Young, includes a wide mix of indie pop styles and was produced in collaboration with some the finest indie talent never to have made it in Ireland. Members of Villa R have played in such Peel session favourites as Hey Paulette, Jubilee Allstars, and The Sewing Room. In addition to playing on the record, Derrick Dalton, currently of disques fridge cousins Crumb, also produced the record and his pop sensibilities are evident through the rich and spacious feel of the record.
