Death Via Satellite is Dublin's loudest rock/electro/new wave/post punk club nite that takes place one Tuesday per month in Eamonn Dorans. 3 bands tear up the stage at every show, followed by guest DJ's til late and as if thats not enough, all drinks are only €3.50 after 10.30!

The next show on January 30th features a headline set from Belfast's rock/post punk contenders mojoFURY, with electrorock energy from Mendoza and cerebral alt rock courtesy of Nearly Dead Jim.

MojoFURY are the brightest contenders in the northern irish music scene, providing a potent blend of instant straight ahead driving rock. They are seen as one of Northern Irelands most hardworking bands, captivating crowds and winning over fans wherever they go. Since forming, the band have recorded two CD's, which have been aired on radio 1 as well as accumulating a mass of live reviews from ATL, the Belfast Telegraph, alternative ulster, to name a few.

With a drummer on singing duties, mojoFURY still deliver fluent vocals while providing a blazing assault on the kit, meanwhile an aural assault of bass and guitar ensures that the stage show is a vibrant as you'd expect from their sound.

THe highlight of the bands existence to date was playing out to a sold out home crowd in support of Biffy Clyro, and they have made some forays into the Dublin scene in 2006, most notably with a blistering performance alongside Morello & Mike Got Spiked at their return gig in TBMC in December. Anyone that saw them that night are already counting the days, so come join them at DVS 07.

Mendoza are Dublin's lauded electrorock hybrid, who have enjoyed a frantic and very successful 2006 after returning to the scene armed with a brand new synth growl and dirty electro beats to add to their sonic arsenal of chiming guitars, filthy basslines and melodic call-to-arms melodies. Every crowd that have been caught up in the energyblast of a Mendoza live set have been blown away by the sheer energy emanating from the stage, and this has turned heads both in Dublin, and further afield in London. They opened for The Thermals, Sub Pop's proteges from Portland, Oregon in November and after clocking up 39 shows in 2006 they have made plans to release their 1st single 'Lights Out/ 28 Days' in March. Get down to witness their happening as they keep the stage white hot for mojoFURY...

Expertly opening proceedings are Nearly Dead Jim , a three-piece alternative rock band with a difference. The eclectic nature of the bands immediate influences, combined with their focus on originality, makes the Nearly Dead Jim sound impossible to pigeon-hole.

They have play packed venues throughout Ireland and their debut EP, The Waking End, has been praised by fans and critics alike, copies of this cd are still in high demand. Indeed they are planning to record an album in 2007 so prepare to want it after hearing them preview tracks at DVS. For people who demand music with substance and sincerity, this is your band.

Admission is €5, doors at 8.45. Guest DJ to be confirmed and all drinks €3.50 after 10.30. So arrive early for the bands, stay late for the dancing, drinking, debauchery and Death Via Satellite!
