Anyone going to see Jimmy Cliff on Thursday in tripod?
Just found out about the gig last night, so getting tickets at the moment. little expensive though.
anyone been to tripod yet? Whats it like? Oh yeah, some tickets are 32 n others are 35, both seem to be standing, whats the story with this? is there a mad exclusive section with perfumed water?

I don't really know Jimmy Cliff's music. Did he sing The Harder We Fall? If so, what else could you recommend?

Saw him a few years ago in The Village. A nimble, sprightly man who can belt out the hits. Yes, The Harder They Fall was one of his hits. You know what you're getting with him and a few hoots beforehand would make it all the better.

i cant find any of my old albums! goddamit.
But his vietnam tune is pretty good, the harder they come is a soundtrack, and its none too shabby, and my all time favourite tune of his is "pressure drop" ... sweetness!
gig got moved to the music centre, really looking forward to it, dont know a whole load of his stuff to be recommending. Check out the studio one collections though if you like reggae/roots, quality stuff.
