Officially released today, the debut album from this much-talked-about act is sure to cause strong reactions from Cluas posters. So what do people think of it?

"100 miles per hour rock n roll" - what an awful saying. It's a fine record, although unoriginal to the point of cliche. But there are songs there, at least.

Heard 2 tracks from them so far - one ok, one very good quite a hirsute bunch judging from the video i saw, especially the lead singer with his Gaz Coombes-eque locks

It is an awful saying and also inaccurate. It should be 160 KMph. We went metric ages ago!!! As for Humanzi, album got 7/10 in risible music comic NME. They described Dublin as musically the most 'yawnfullest' cities 'in the UK'!!!!!!But apparently, Humanzi are going to change all that! I was convinced we gained independence in 1922. We've been fed a lie for the last 84 years. It's a Christian Brother/Government/Church conspiracy. The greatest cover-up in the history of countries! Get Dan Brown on the case. And what does 'yawnfullest' mean? I presume boring, dull, unremarkable??? Yawnfullest!!! Humanzi are boring and cliched. Greasy, hairy, leathery rock...it's all been done before. What exactly is the point?

Not heard it yet but read a review which gave it 6/10 and described them as a poor man's Kasabian.

Oh jesus, that's a very cruel thing to say about any band.

It's not too bad. As generic, boys-with-guitars-and-attitude stuff goes, it's decent. The inlay photos and presentation is gack though. is that nit-picking? probably

The review was on Channel 4's Planet Sound (teletext) They were fairly dismissive of them but said words to the effect that their live energy doesn't transfer to the CD. I did see a girl wearing a Humanzi t-shirt. She was a minger, so perhaps a bad omen for the band ;)

how about "it's rock and roll and it's quite fast" nah, I just don't like the whole 100 miles saying, that's all. It doesn't seem like praise to me.

Very true Una, i was just sayin that they piss all over kasabians new material. Too many bands get labelled with the kasabian tag just because of the use of synths etc. Tis ridiculous!
