An official release of the double-A-sided “Seratonin/Ballad Of Elton John” hits the shops on 8 September with his 2nd album SK2 to follow on 29 September.
29th sept - roisin dubh, galway
30th sept - dolans, limerick
1st oct - cruiscin lan, cork
3rd oct - the village, dublin
5th oct - spring & airbrake, belfast
6th oct - nerve centre, derry
7th oct - spirit store, dundalk
I'm looking forward to the new album, I think its going to be pretty good from the new songs I've heard live. Any fans of him here?

Seen him a few times, like alot. But for the live of me, I can't seem to find SK1 anywhere.

I haven't heard much by him but the stuff I have, I like him a lot. Saw him at Oxegen a few years back and he was excellent.
What's the story with him? Doesn't seem to get much publicity, rarely hear his name.
Dirty Pretty Things are also playing Ambassador around October

Yeah I know what you mean, I don't know his career isn't maybe as glittering as it should be. I thought SK1 was a great album, it got great reviews, he toured a bit and went to the states, he had appearance on Conan O'Brien then he seemed to drift and the record label(2M) went bust. It looks like he has put together another very good collection of songs for SK2 and recently toured supporting Erasure, Richard Ashcroft and David Gray. This record is being released on his own label, it'll be ineteresting to see how it goes.

New album is out at the end of the week, anyone had a listen to a promo yet? Latest Hotpress gives it 8/10.

Nerraw, I also saw him at Oxegen and was sufficiently impressed to buy the first album. Going to the Village gig next week.

Yeah got it in last week - shlapped it on and opening few bars immediately had me smilling. Perfect SFA meets Beck moment.
Have to confess I haven't given it a load of time and devotion yet but what I've flicked through I've really liked. He'll be in session with us the day before the gig in the Spillage so if there really are any true fans here, I'll remind yiz to listen.

Roxy, what staion is your show on. I'm a big SK fan, got the new album and really like it, it's a bit darker lyrically, seems like he's taken a couple of kickings over the last couple of years.
