Is this anything to do with the trouble in the Oxegen campsite and the legal threat from MCD if anybody actually reports what happened?

basically, the post above MAY have been regarding the POSSIBLE RUMOUR that a big promotions company MIGHT be thinking about sueing a small writer in a national newspaper because they got so much flak over the RUMOURED knackers-riots-arson-theft-assaults-STORIES rumouring their MYTHICAL way across the lie-o-web, and said POSSIBLE writer MAY or MAY not have written a piece about it in a paper. SO possibly maybe the writer put out a maybe or maybe not request to ask people to give proof in a substantial fashion. POSSIBLY. *******************NOT OFFICAL MAY NOT BE TRUE PROBABLY MAYBE YES NO UNSUBSTANTIATED******************************** phew.

i'll sue if the original post isn't re-posted.

I had posted a link to a comment on my blog which was in turn a copy of a post made on Thumped regarding the reporting of incidents at the Oxegen campsite. I was asked to remove both posts. Any libellous comments could jeopardise possible legal action, so obviously I removed them, even though the comments were made by a third party. That's it!

i heard about this but did the paper actually print this article about the certain festival or was the legal threat to stop them printing it?

I didn't read the article in question, but I presume something was printed because how could there be a legal threat otherwise? Newspapers here generally don't allow copy approval.

according to a post on boards.ie it suggested that the paper had been threatened not to run the article but maybe that was wrong so. According to the post on thumped it suggested the article had been printed.

MCD have pulled down the oxegen message board there were a <i>lot</i> of posts regarding peoples bad experiences and s**t maybe MCD didnt take kindly to it

Actually. If anyone has vids or pics of the carnage mail them to me and I'll host them somewheres, set up a nice wee page and they can censor or sue me for all I'm worth.
