He was amazing, really rocking show with a crack band of Texas/Tennessee/New Orelans musicians. My highlights: Maggies Farm Cold Irons Bound Highway 61 Like a Rolling Stone Forever Young Beyond review, just brill

Delighted!!! I was worried he'd come on and sing with his back to crowd again, or worse still decide to sing in Yiddish or something. He can be a grumpy auld ghet when the fancy takes him.

Did he play guitar or paino this time? Last time he played here, he pretty much did borderline rag time versions of all the songs. OK, tis a pretty bast back catalog but even the most obvious tunes were unrecognisable.

Piano and harmonica, no guitars, the songs were totally recognisable.

Well, definitely have mixed feelings after sunday night. On the one hand he was pretty much exactly what I expected. He sounded like he'd swallowed half a desert, cactii and all. The band were fantastic, real bluesy. I was delighted to see the man himself bopping quite a bit behind the organ. I'm heart-broken to hear he played Hollis Brown on the first night 'cos it's a definite favourite of mine. The cool factor was flying high when he'd finished the first set and encore and he and the whole band stood posed at the front of the stage looking out into the crowd for about 5 minutes, class!!! Fair enough there was no banter and he only played for 1 3/4 hours but the fact remains the man is a (just-about) living legend!!!
