well, memberwise yeah, and naturally there are similar influences, but personally, I have found the Libertines far more accessible and poppy than Babyshambles. Woah, lots of commas in that sentence! Good Babyshambles stuff to download if you wish: For Lovers Killamangiro Srix and Stones you can get loads of mp3s for free and legally here: http://www.babyshambles.net/mp3s.asp

Babyshambles were amazing. Say what you will about Pete but you can see he just wants to play music altho kate suprestargroupie moss did decide to get in on the act and jumped on stage, which was laughable to say the least. but still, great gig. Humanzie were excellent too, and the things and mainline. the sound was pretty good considering. i really DO hate drunken students however........!

I wonder what the Ambassador gig was like. I can't imagine how any musician would want to play the Trinity Ball our anything to do with college students. They smell.

trinity ball is a great way to get exposure for local acts. You get a chance to play to a couple of thousand students. The same people you want coming to gigs every week. On another note whats with all this student bashing. we're good people goddamit!

I guess it's good for new acts, but any gig I've ever been to in a college has been mingin. I would imagine it's a f**king nightmare for bands to tour colleges (not that this happens anymore), because about 1% of the audience wants to listen, and the rest either are too drunk to care, or are drunk and want to cause trouble or mess around. Nightmare.
