ugh, Iggy Pop is a very different kind of guy. To sing his songs I think you would need to appreciate that, and come from the same kind of place. I don't think Kelly Jones does. At all.

Stereophonics cover 'Something In The Way' before as a B-Side. It wasn't bad actually

They actually handled b-sides of 'Sunny Afternoon' (originally by The Kinks), 'Angie' (originally by Rolling Stones) and 'Positively 4th Street' (originally by Bob Dylan) well. But with the direction they have been going in recent years, one would be right to be sceptical of any song they take on.

Its not as disgusting as Ryan Adams trying to do 'Wonderwall' or Damien Rice having an organic cafe style crack at 'Hallelujah'. Some people say that Crack Cocaine is killing the music, I disagree, I think it is Fair Trade coffee, relationship counsellors, yoga classes, clean living, stable domestic relationships and Kabbalah.

Ryan Adams' cover of Wonderwall is maybe, eight times better than the original. And Leonard Cohen's own original version of Hallelujah is pretty s**te in comparisson to subsequent covers.

i dont know i think Leonard Cohen's version is pretty good, kinda staid. Jeff Buckley did make it his own, but both are very good readings. in fact im gonna go root out grace now, great record.
