Hi, my band have decided to expand our line up, we are ideally looking for a guitar player with some keyboard skills but we are willing to consider anything musical. At present we are a three piece drums, bass and guitar but we also use an apple for live samples. We play what I would describe as instrumental rock/ post rock and collectively we would share these influences. At the Drive-In, Radiohead, Muse, Sigur Ros, Rage Against the Machine, Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Queens of the Stone Age, Tool, …and you will know us by the Trail of Dead, Pink Floyd, Mars Volta, My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth We are based in Dublin and usually practice in the Templeogue area, we are all in our early to mid twenties. We are ideally looking for someone to come in and help expand some of current set and to help with writing of new material. We are looking for someone with the ability to subtly sit into a song, if you a guitar player and can’t think beyond blues soloing over everything you’re probably not right for the band. Potential candidates must have good gear and be willing to practice two to three times a week. Ideally you would have some previous gigging experience and be fairly tech friendly, this isn’t a necessity, if you’re good enough you’re good enough regardless of experience.
