...wasn't it great? A ton of crowd pleasers (couldn't believe he opened with Loser) and have to say I laughed my head off at the puppets/
Was nearly disappointed when Radiohead came on.
Though, with Beck starting with Loser and Radiohead finishing with Creep - there was a nice synergy there with their breaking songs starting and finishing.
Loved Radiohead's new song - the one that gradually built up?

...is it a good thing when your puppet show upstages your music?

Don't think it upstaged it, just added to it.
was like Team America: The Musical.
Gary: Well I'm gonna march on Washington, lead the fight and charge the brigades. There's a hero inside of all of us. I'll make them see everyone has AIDS. My father!
Choir: AIDS!
Gary: My sister!
Choir: AIDS!
Gary: My uncle and my cousin and her best friend!
Choir: AIDS! AIDS! AIDS!
Gary: The gays and the straights and the whites and the spades!
Woman: Woop
All: Everyone has AIDS!

Yeah, it really was brilliant. The visuals all night were excellent actually, between what was being shown on screen and shots of the bands themselves, it would make a more than decent dvd I think. I'd have to agree there, I'd have almost rathered (is that actually a word?) a whole night of Beck than have Radiohead come out at all.
