Down to Bodkins this Friday for OFF BROADWAY. The venue might be a little dank but the music is bright. It's really beautiful when you see it.
This friday we have one of the next big things as our guests "The Kinetiks" Fresh sounds totally unadulterated.
Claire Bonnass - this girl sings like the offspring of a demon and an angel. Angry but sweet enough to rot your teeth.
Then host band Ali & The D.T's will round off this debaucherous affair with old blues tunes about smacking your wife around until your satisfied. New yorker Transexual Saxaphone player Bad Beverley hosts on microphone, so expect nothing. just fun
The show starts at 9pm with tunes from there yonder wurlitzer machine.

Off Broadway on the 8th of september brings us Johnny vans. this man from belfast knows what it is to see a lunatic on your lawn. Songs about showdown, johhhny is coming down so please give this man a dublin welcome. noone turn up and say how much i regret not seeing vans while i was still lucid> Also on Fri the 8th of Sept theres a band called Desert Inn. There like Wolf Mother but dirtier and more f**k your own ma up the whole. hope to see a cluas reader head down sometime. that would be great. all the best. ali

using the term "f**k your ma up the whole" is a way to describe the disformed debauched sound that the band produce. it wasnt meant in derogatorily, but as light hearted satire. and if you dont get it you can go f**k your own ma up the whole you pious scumbag. all the best

Referencing the adjective "whole" was a way of pointing out that its usage was unintentionally comic...there is quite a distinct difference between the word "whole" and the word "hole".
But I'm sure there's some disformed, debauched reason for that, too.
