Bed 01 @ Kennedys, Thursday 27 July, Electro-rock bands and DJs Bed is a new bi-monthly club night at the Underground at Kennedys, Westland Row (off Nassau St, Dublin city) fusing the physical, earthy energy of live bands with the transcendent euphoria of a DJ set, all to the white-hot soundtrack of electro-rock - the sound of the decade. Bed will be the meeting place for rock's seductive stomp and dance's elevating energy, all under the one duvet. Bed grabs the baton from underground visionaries Erol Alkan (T.R.A.S.H. @ The End, London the birthplace of the electro-rock scene) and Mark Moore (Electrogogo, Soho) to create a unique club experience in the capital. Bed 01: Aleko - Mendoza - Subzero - Bed DJs Prepare to get your groove on to three of Dublin's finest purveyors of electro rock and synth pop with resident Bed DJs spinning the finest in electronic rock, 80s electrogothandpop and nu-wave dance til the wee hours. Aleko - One of the most invigorating live and sonically innovative bands in the capital, Aleko fuse pounding guitars and bass with scattergun drum machine rhythms and pulsating synth grooves. They already have many prestigious international support slots to their name; having joined Asian Dub Foundations European tour, played with the Australian Cut Copy, The Filthy Dukes, s**t Robot and our hero Erol Alkan, as well as Scottish dynamos, Optimo DJs.
