Hey, (As above), Redjetson are playing Ireland. f*cking deadly. This is all the details so far. Friday, 25th Aug - The Sugar Club, Dublin Saturday,26th - An Cruiscin Lán, Cork Sunday, 27th Aug - BoatClub, Limerick Bank Holiday Monday, 28th Aug - Auntie Annies, Belfast. So basically if you live in Dublin and are lucky enough to have managed to get tickets, your week will look like this: Wed 23rd, Pearl Jam Thurs 24th, Radiohead Frid, 25th, Redjetson Hoo Rah!! Also, I wasn't lucky, and am looking for a Pearl Jam ticket. Not for an outrageous price though. I should be so lucky...

Also this.... First support act for Redjetson has been announced. The band are Dublin 3-piece envelope. Although relatively new to the Irish music scene, the band have progressed incredibly quickly in the last couple of years, playing awe-inspiring sets all over Ireland, including HWCH, the Beamish Festival, and the Imagine Festival. They released their new EP last month to much praise from the critics, earning comparisons to Radiohead, Whipping Boy, Elbow, Mogwai and Sigur Rós, and much airplay from Dan Hegarty and Alison Curtis in Ireland, as well as on international shores. Hotly tipped as "definite ones to watch" and preparing to invade UK shores later this year, envelope. are ones to keep your eyes and ears alert for. Check the band out here: www.thepostroom.com www.myspace.com/envelopemusic "the most gloriously delightful opener to come from an Irish group this year. A feast of pleasures , State & Nature shifts from the seductively visceral to deep and responsive melancholia... An absoloute gem of a debut. Redjetson all the way. Daft punk = a few good songs, but you'd have to really really want to see them live to pay that €50 or so. And marley park = bad sound ( maybe except for Radiohead ). And sugar club = seats!! I'll be tired after Radiohead and Pearl Jam ( fingers crossed ).

"Opening for Redjetson in Dublin and Belfast are Dublin 4-piece ‘Skylight’. Skylight have been slowly but surely building up their fan-base around Ireland over the last few years with headline and support shows, constantly evolving and reshaping themselves. Having taken time off to finish renovating their own studio, Skylight will be releasing much awaited material on their own label ‘Hate is the enemy’ later on in the year. Having played many loud and excellent sets this year, including a support slot for Swedish Stars ‘Jeniferever’, the band are definitely worth witnessing live, so get down to the next Skylight gig in your area, that is when they open for Redjetson in August in Dublin and Belfast. www.myspace.com/hateistheenemy “the music Skylight are playing is refreshingly esoteric and musical, incorporating violin and piano into the mix. Also, the band boast an excellent drummer who displays an imaginative and creative use of his instrument through-out.” - Irish Unsigned Opening for Redjetson in Cork and Limerick, are Belfast band Panda Kopanda. On the verge of releasing their new EP this year, following the success of the fantastic ‘Letting Go’ EP, Panda Kopanda are Belfasts rising stars. Having played all around Ireland and in the UK, now is your chance to catch these guys live in your own town, as they play in Dublin, Cork and Limerick this August. www.myspace.com/pandakopanda “What springs to mind when one witnesses this bunch of indie boys from Belfast is quirky and beautiful. It’s all harmonies and jangly guitars with strung-out rhythms and monster choruses. You’d think this band have been out on the town with Pavement and Grandaddy, then bumped into Postal Service on the way home. Combine that with front man Gavin’s body jolting stage antics and you have a band that demands to be remembered. “ - The Fly UK

Skylight will no longer be opening for Redjetson in Belfast. They are being replaced by Belfast band 'Kowalski'. www.myspace.com/wearekowalski These guys have really grown on my recently. Catchy tunes. Not long to go to the Redjetson madness begins either.

Skylight have unfortunately followed in the paths of Turn and Weezer this year, and have split up. This gig in the Sugar Club will be their last.
