I got this email this morning ... Unfortunately due to complications with the festivals licence Republic of Loose are unable to play Your Festival which was due to take place in Charleville Castle, Tullamore on Saturday 24th June.

Read somewhere that there was an objection by a local landowner and license for the original location was lost - a neighbouring pub owner said they could use his land for acts adn camping - is that true? Sounds a bit iffy.

yea thats the word on the street at the mo - wouldnt feel too confident about it if it was my band headin down to play!! The warehouse idea is class tho - thats'd be cool.

yeah there was a rave there 2 weeks ago...which was quite good!!..lots of spainish dj's but they were using 30k amps when should of been using 10k amps...neighbours were giving out both all the noise took a court injunction against the castle from having any more gigs there for the time being. think it could be bit of an organisational mess trying to quickly but it on somewhere else..plus the castle would of been a deadly venue..anything after that will be a let down and with the republic of loose pulling out adds to it!!!

Ah this is a pity for the dudes who put in some much effort.. From the myspace site…. It is with great regret that we must inform you that Your Festival as you know it is now officially cancelled. Since we got the news of the high court injunction on Friday last we have been quite literally working around the clock to find a way to make Your Festival happen. We were filled with hope on Saturday when we received the offer from the owner of The Thatch Pub, Mr. Aidan Shortall to use his land and keep Your Festival afloat. For us it was a case of, we either cancel the festival now, or we do everything humanly possible to make it work ,So on Sunday work began in earnest to transform a yard and a field into a music festival site. The machinery rolled in and the help was at hand but sadly yesterday morning it became clear that the task at hand was far greater than we first thought and simply not achievable in five days Although Your Festival has been laid to rest (for this year at least), the rock and roll spirit of your organisers will not be oppressed and the hunger for the savage party that was visualised will become reality. Hence, from the ashes rises Your Party. This will be a scaled down version of the original plan to be held in the large barn at the back of The Thatch Pub in Rahan (10mins from Charleville by car). With a selection of the original line-up performing including Noise Control, The Ministry of Musical Science & Melody, Porn Trauma as well as a handful of DJs. We will still be opening the campsite at 6pm on Friday and the main stage as planned will kick off at 12 noon on Saturday. Your Festival ticket holders will receive a 15 euro refund at the gate or a full refund from place of purchase. Otherwise admission to the party will be 30 euro. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and enthusiasm which makes it all worth while. With special thanks Arron Inglis for all his work and grief with our graphic design, friends and family who we havent spent any time with in weeks, Dudley Stewart and Aidan Shortall and Mick Reedy.----------Banter will always prevail, Your Organisers xxx

I heard that there was no licence to hold a festival at the 2nd location and loads of bands pulled out. Given that there is an injunction against the first site you can be sure the Authorities will be watching the 2nd one. Hold a Festival without a licence and every single piece of equipement (including the bands instruments) can be confiscated. I guess that's why its now in a barn.
