Paul Doran – Cormac O Caoimh – Fintan Lucy
Paul, Cormac and Fintan met at the IMRO Songwriting Retreat in Rossnowlagh, Donegal February of this year. They decided to embark on a series of gigs around the country showcasing their versatile and varying styles of songwriting. Below is more information on the individual performers. We would love to celebrate a night of music in your venue (In July or August or any available date you may have).
Paul Doran
Paul Doran began performing in Dublin venues in the 1980s supporting
acts like Movin’ Hearts, Scullion, John Martin and Christy Moore. He co-wrote the theme for the ‘Self-Aid’concert ‘Make it Work’ with Moore and performed at the concert. His songs have been recorded by several artistes and drawn praise from writers like Jackson Browne and
Bono.

Cormac O Caoimh is a solo performer from Cork and also singer-songwriter of The Citadels, a band who over the past 10 years have encompassed various shapes and sizes, resulting in the lo-fi acoustic "Shadow of my Northern Star" EP in 1999 and transforming into a full band - big sound - six piece who released the critically acclaimed "Letting Go. Holding On" cd in 2003 and have released the "Lovelight" EP in March 2006
Cormac has supported Damien Rice (in the Paradiso, Amsterdam), Declan O Rourke, Josh Rouse, Mark Geary, Nick Kelly, Ger Wolfe, Freddie White, Mick Hanley, Miles Hunt, Tir na Nog and Damien Dempsey to name but a few. He also ventured further afield playing headlining gigs in Edinburgh, London and New York. He has won over admirers from all quarters including Ron Sexsmith and Tom Robinson (BBC music).

Fintan Lucy
Fintan Lucy is a former member of Cork harmony-based acoustic rock-and-roll band The Phintones, and is well known around Cork City and county both as a solo performer and guitar backer at trad sessions. He also works as a community musician, running creative music projects with schools, youth organisations, and other community groups. He regularly performs his songs at Munster Literature Centre events, and has taken part in their writer exchange programme with Swansea.
Fintan’s first solo album The Is and Was and Maybes, featuring eleven original songs, shows folk, blues, gospel, country and world music influences, and showcases the versatility of his singing voice.
