SiAn Records presents - Jaded Sun, plus very special guests, LIVE @ Eamonn Doran's, Crown Alley, Temple Bar, Saturday 6th of May 2006. Support on the night comes from the excellent The Shots and our good friends Swanee River. Doors open at 8p.m. and admission is €10. This will be our last Dublin headline gig after embarking on our successful tour throughout Ireland. We're hoping again to have another packed out night in Doran's for what will be a fantastic night of music featuring the highly recommended bands Swanee River and The Shots.
Here's a few things about Swanee River:
Swanee River - Swanee River is a powerful blend of blues, soul and rock'n'roll. Hailing from the city of Derry they began in 2004. In 2005 alone they have played somewhere in the region of 60-65 gigs including playing in Derry, Belfast, Donegal, Lurgan, Downpatrick, Dublin and Killarney - in such venues as The Empire Music Hall (Belfast), The Spring And Airbrake (Belfast), The Irish National Events Centre (Killarney), and also headlining the prestigious Nerve Centre (Derry) twice this year.
On top of this, their debut release "Back To The Handlebars" has been played flat out on the airwaves on a host of radio shows throughout Ireland including Downtown radio, RTE Radio 1, Radio Ulster ATL (including interview and feature), Maiden City FM (Derry local), 107FM (Ballymena local - interview and feature), and QUB radio.
Their assault on the Irish music scene in unrelenting as they now plan for the year 2006 extensive tours of the whole of Ireland, and are set to release their second EP in April.
