We will donate €5 to Concern for every customer who subscribes to Magnet between now and April 10th 2006. For customers who sign-up for Magnet Online we will donate €10 to Concern. This money will go directly to benefit the Suba Project. SUBA SUBA is an underprivileged district in Kenya All proceeds from the benefit night will go towards Concern’s SUBA project, funding Primary Education in the area The Suba district has earned the dubious distinctions of being the area worst hit by HIV/AIDS, having the lowest life expectancy, literacy levels and per capita income and is ranked among the bottom five in Kenya. The Suba education programme works with 170 primary schools reaching a total of 46K school going children. The programme works in partnership with the District Education Office (DEO) to help poor and marginalised children in Suba. The project will assist ten schools in upgrading their facilities by providing: (a)Technical planning assistance (b)Grants for purchasing building materials (c)Ongoing technical support from the project engineer (d)Improving the classroom infrastructure, water storage and sanitation facilities at the schools.
