House Of Mexico, The Spook of the 13th Lock, Dislocation (solo) Live at http://www.thehubmezz.com, Thursday 23rd of March 2006 Doors 7.30pm. Admission €6. The Hub is opposite the IFI in Temple Bar, Dublin. ______________________________________ House of Mexico The bastard children of Robert Schneider and Pete Kember, House of Mexico make music that lies somewhere between psychedelic fuzzpop and Enid Blyton's Mountain of Adventure. Having made their debut on Earworm Records in 2002, and getting play-list approval from the late, great John Peel and other indie connoisseurs worldwide, they're still doing it for the kids but mostly for themselves. Their 7" single on The Great Pop Supplement that is now completely SOLD OUT!!! (Unless you're Jeff Linnell, who recorded the a-side and is still owed a copy of it). Their next release is an as-yet-untitled ep and they are also featured on the forthcoming tribute to The June Brides, which features The Mad Scene, Jeffrey Lewis, The Jasmine Minks, Manic Street Preachers, The Tyde, The Television Personalities and The Legend! amongst many others - out February 2006 on yes!boy!icecream!records! Influences: west coast pop art experimental band, june brides, television personalities, galaxie 500, spacemen 3, the monochrome set, velvet underground, subway sect, vic goddard, the tyde, jeffrey lewis, lovejoy, jasmine minks, c86, earworm, elephant 6, neutral milk hotel, the projects, tompaulin, the mad scene, the positions, clivestar, of montreal, green pajamas, elf power, beulah, und so weiter but not really. Named after a poem about a haunted canal lock, the Spook plucks banjos and twangs guitars. He yelps, drones and hums songs about dead revolutionaries, partisans and haunted cobblestone streets. Live the Spook plays solo with guitar banjo and effects or as a band with Enda Bates aka Fairlights (bass), and with Donnchadh Hoey (gutiar) and Brian O'Higgins (drums) both of the late great Steerage. Influences: The Chieftains, Mosiak, Lift to Experience, Josh Pearson, 16 Horsepower, The Dirty 3, The Monks, The Boggs For more information: http://www.myspace.com/thespookofthethirteenthlock ______________________________________ DISLOCATION (Solo) Dislocation is Raymond Sexton, a 31 years old earthling based in the northern lattitues. He uses a psychelic wall of guitar noise, with added beeps, clicks and synthesised noises as a means of imposing a specific anarchaic regime, known as Unit Sevenism, on the planet Earth. Be warned, however: he strips this noise down to it's bare nuts and bolts when playing modified noise before a live audience of Earth creatures. He promises to remove your ears and fill your brain with pink light using only the bare simplicity of his tunes, which he will deliver using just his voice and his trusty red electric space guitar. Dislocation, either solo or as a band, will be releasing it's 1st commerical music drop in September 2006. Keep looking up. Current Dislocation influences include: Antartica, Audio Karate, Colder, The Cure, Death In Vegas, The Flaming Lips, Jorge Ben Jr., M83, My Bloody Valentine, Red House Painters. Eating healthily and being active is the key to better health and maintaining a healthy weight. Europe’s February comparable sales rose 5.4% driven primarily by strong results in France and Germany. In addition, the U.K.’s ongoing emphasis on brand building initiatives generated positive comparable sales in February. • F eeling - elated, enthusiastic, excited, angry, irritable or depressed • E nergy - great energy, 'never felt as well', over-talkative or over-active • S leep - reduced need for sleep and marked difficulty in getting off to sleep • T hinking - racing thoughts, pressure in the head, indecisive, jumping from one topic to another, poor concentration • I nterest - increased interest in pleasurable activities, new adventures, sex, alcohol, street drugs, religion, music or art • V alue - excessive and unrealistic belief in one's ability, or having grandiose plans • A ches - never tiring, being unaware of the physical symptoms of illness such as asthma, having muscle tension at the back of the head or round the shoulders • L ive - thinking that one can live forever, taking reckless physical risks or, if angry or distressed, feeling suicidal If 5 or more of the above symptoms are present for more than 2 weeks, it is probably a manic episode. Or drive through your exhibits in the new Jeep® vehicle tours. Build bridges and observation decks for a refreshing new view of your animals. And that’s not all! There are also erupting volcanoes, new endangered-species-themed buildings and scenery, and a whole new set of challenges and campaigns! We also have built the broadest, deepest research capability in the global animal-health industry to fill our customers' unmet needs to help protect the health of pets and farm animals and to improve the safety, quality, and productivity of the food supply.

I am very sorry to anyone intending to come along, but, due to various unforseen circumstances this gig is as of now cancelled.
