House of Mexico
The bastard children of Robert Schneider and Pete Kember, House of Mexico make music that lies somewhere between psychedelic fuzzpop and Enid Blyton's Mountain of Adventure. Having made their debut on Earworm Records in 2002, and getting play-list approval from the late, great John Peel and other indie connoisseurs worldwide, they're still doing it for the kids but mostly for themselves. Their 7" single on The Great Pop Supplement that is now completely SOLD OUT!!! (Unless you're Jeff Linnell, who recorded the a-side and is still owed a copy of it). Their next release is an as-yet-untitled ep and they are also featured on the forthcoming tribute to The June Brides, which features The Mad Scene, Jeffrey Lewis, The Jasmine Minks, Manic Street Preachers, The Tyde, The Television Personalities and The Legend! amongst many others - out February 2006 on yes!boy!icecream!records!
Influences: west coast pop art experimental band, june brides, television personalities, galaxie 500, spacemen 3, the monochrome set, velvet underground, subway sect, vic goddard, the tyde, jeffrey lewis, lovejoy, jasmine minks, c86, earworm, elephant 6, neutral milk hotel, the projects, tompaulin, the mad scene, the positions, clivestar, of montreal, green pajamas, elf power, beulah, und so weiter but not really.

The Spook of the Thirteenth Lock
The Spook is Allen from Holy Ghost Fathers/ Ballroom of Romance. Named after a poem about a haunted canal lock, the Spook plucks banjos and twangs guitars. He yelps, drones and hums songs about dead revolutionaries, partisans and haunted cobblestone streets. Live the Spook plays solo with guitar banjo and effects or as a band with Enda Bates aka Fairlights (bass), and with Donnchadh Hoey (gutiar) and Brian O'Higgins (drums) both of the late great Steerage.
Influences: The Chieftains, Mosiak, Lift to Experience, Josh Pearson, 16 Horsepower, The Dirty 3, The Monks, The Boggs

DISLOCATION (Solo)
Dislocation is Raymond Sexton, a 31 years old earthling based in the northern lattitues. He uses a psychelic wall of guitar noise, with added beeps, clicks and synthesised noises as a means of imposing a specific anarchaic regime, known as Unit Sevenism, on the planet Earth. Be warned, however: he strips this noise down to it's bare nuts and bolts when playing modified noise before a live audience of Earth creatures. He promises to remove your ears and fill your brain with pink light using only the bare simplicity of his tunes, which he will deliver using just his voice and his trusty red electric space guitar. Dislocation, either solo or as a band, will be releasing it's 1st commerical music drop in September 2006. Keep looking up.
Current Dislocation influences include: Antartica, Audio Karate, Colder, The Cure, Death In Vegas, The Flaming Lips, Jorge Ben Jr., M83, My Bloody Valentine, Red House Painters.
