Once again the gig will take place in the Temple Bar Music Centre this time Sat 1st October. Last months gig was a great success but we're hoping to make this one bigger and better so we need your support. Remember for these free gigs to continue in the Music centre we need as many bods down there drinking loads... So without further Ado... Coming in at No.3 Vista Cruizer with "When Billy Met the King" on 1008 plays. At No.2 with "Daydreams" - Claire McDonnell with 1216 plays and clinching the No.1 spot with their track "Summary Justice" - Cut at 1402 plays! Congratulations to all Three acts. CPU-records chart gigs are a monthly gig in T.B.M.C. The top three bands in the CPU monthly chart will get to play the event, as voted by our listeners. These gigs are also being filmed for television by Ceol Beo Productions. CPU-records is a great place to discover new music that's out there, and is being constantly updated by the artists themselves and the editorial staff. We're helping to highlight this in a new way by being the first Irish Underground MP3 Chart ( Well, can you name any other!!). To see who's in the lead to play the MP3 Chart Nights, visit the site every week where the chart positions will be published. CPU-records launched their artists section on Halloween 2004 with an event in The Village being headlined by Mani (Primal Scream/TheStone Roses), Andy Rourke (The Smiths/Vinny Peculiar), Lee Gorton (Alfie). On the night rising stars of the dublin music scene CH-1 and Humanzie played alongside veterans The Subtonics and The Mighty Stef. Since then over 700 artists have signed up to what is becoming the best resource for finding and listening to new music as it emerges in Ireland and beyond. CPU-records since it's inseption has grown rapidly, with traffic doubling in the space of a month rising so far to just under 4 Million hits. CPU is becoming one of the most talked about undercurrents in the music scene today. In The Evening Herald, 3 CPU acts were chosen in the top ten tunes to download, beating off the likes of Jeff Buckley, Coldplay and Rooney, (what more can we say!!!) CPU-records artists who've benefited from the exposure they have received on CPU in the past include The Republic of Loose, Mainline, Humanzi, The Camberbert Quartet, The Subtonics, Stazi, Jinx Lennon, The Mighty Stef, Ch-1, The Things and that unforgetable stripper... CPU-records actively seeks the co-operation of other sites, musicians, writers and reviewers to make the web a place where upcoming acts can access a wealth of knowledge in all areas of the music industry.
