Hidden from Nowhere
Hidden from Nowhere are together about 7 months and they haven’t done much yet. They used to be under a different name. All we can really tell you is that they are a 4 piece from south Dublin, that specialise in an entertaining punk-rock set. Their CPU.ie site will be up and running shortly.
Obsolete
Start off with a nice song...
Throw in a few guitars...
Add a dash of drums...
And some vocals...
Q. What do you get?
A. An average rock n' roll band!
Obsolete already knew this before forming back in 2000. The fact that Mixer, Molateen and Beany played together in an average rock n' roll band before the birth of Obsolete was adequate education.
So after much consultation, the trio hit upon the missing ingredients,
1. Better songs
2. More shouting.
Simple.
Like all good dishes, the formula required moderate tweaking. The fruit of this concoction is passionate, racy songs with magical pop sensibility, delivered with dirty charm. No more average.
As Obsolete honed their skills and grew into their skin, the interest also grew. The epic song "Add to the History" taken from their first recording, "The Adventures of Mr. Ludo", was included on "Irish Underground", which grabbed a top 6 position in the Irish charts. The band built up momentum with countless live appearances, including an appearance in the IMRO Showcase Tour, which aroused the attention of many major record labels.
But before Obsolete could contemplate the rock n roll dream...
Beany disappeared to the Southern Hemisphere in search of rare spices, forcing a 15-month sabbatical for the band. Following his return in December 2004, Obsolete were back in business and, armed with a plethora of new material, they have since been gigging regularly and raising eyebrows wherever they go.
Enjoy the music... Obsolete always do.

Me in the Park
Me in the Park are a three-piece rock combo from Dublin, Ireland, featuring Barry Young (vocals / guitar), Stephen Goodwin (bass / backing vocals) and Niall O'Duffy (drums). Formed in 2001, the band have built up a large fan base thanks in no small part to their live shows, the music is at times, ambitious, witty, raucous and volatile, with equal parts Rock, ska and Funk.
Me in the Park have not only attracted the attention of Ireland's concert going public, the music press have also been quick to add their praise. Jackie Hayden of Hot Press magazine, Ireland's leading music publication said of the band ' Me in the Park are one of the most original guitar bands to come out of Dublin in an aeon and the proud owners of at least half a dozen songs that could rip any chart wide open'. Fine praise indeed from a man who is not easily impressed!
In the past the band have traveled to America and played several festivals including South by South West (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, the leading music festival for unsigned bands, and more recently North by North West (NXNW) in Portland, Oregon.
Me in the Park have been selected by HOTPRESS and Tisch (NYU) to be one of a selected few bands to have a music video made! Part of New York University, Tisch past pupils include such heavy hitters as Martin Scorsese, Olive Stone and Spike Lee.
