The Hoffman Affair will headline at Temple Bar Music Centre on Saturday 3rd of September. Jaded Sun and Havana Calling will play support.
The Hoffman Affair are old favourites of the Music Centre. They started making music together in Lance’s (guitar & vocals) shed. They moved on from there to playing a regular slot in the International for eight weeks. Fans swarmed into the bar week after week. This led to THA’s decision to play larger venues on the Dublin circuit where they regularly played to crowds of up to 400 fans. The band broke up briefly and have just reformed (thankfully). They will soon be changing their name. For now, however they remain The Hoffman Affair. Lance Smith sings and plays guitar, Christian Greene is on bass, Graeme Fitzpatrick plays guitar and Gary Lawson is the drummer.
Jaded Sun have received rave reviews for their debut EP Raw and their energetic live performances. They have played live sessions all along the East Coast and have performed on radio stations such as 98FM and Near FM. This month sees Jaded Sun go back to the studio to record their second EP to the excitement and anticipation of their fans. Here is a chance to see them perform new songs live.
“Thumping rock n roll.....if you love straight rock n roll, these guys are among the best out there"
KC - Roadhouse Magazine March 2005 (Jaded Sun review)
