Moondog Matinee is a new not-for-profit music night in the Parlour Bar (Stags Head, Dame Lane, D2) featuring new and original bands and singer/songwriters. Replacing the excellent 'Songs From the Parlour' night, Moondog Matinee has definitely struck a chord with audiences, who keep coming back for our formula of free admisson, free tea and cake, nice surroundings, and friendly atmosphere. The resident band - The Blood Red Mountain Band are a 7 piece who play a unique brand of stompin bar brawlin' alt folk, joined by 3 guests each month. The next gig is June 30th and features Nancy Falkow and Kevin Tracey. Upcoming acts for the summer incld Lucera, The Maladies, and Karl Vincent.
