Sultans of Ping FC first gig in 9 years announced!
Lynchpins of the ‘90s ‘Corkchester’ scene, the band were doing the dayglo punk thing while the likes of Good Charlotte and Sum 41 were still teething. Since going their separate ways in 1996, lead singer Niall O’Flaherty has written a number of hits for Japanese girl band Mika Bomb and started a history degree at Cambridge University; guitarist Alan McFeely has played in an outfit called Sister; and drummer Morty has worked with REM, promoted club nights in Stockholm and authored the Roy Keane-approved Doucha Boy.
