It took 10 years to recover from the trauma and anguish of the success of their previous bands The Sewing Room, Mexican Pets and Hey Paulette!! Recently singled out by Hotpress as an act to watch in 2005, Medea play minimal guitar music that has been compared to Sleater Kinney and Joy Division. Recently they featured on Risc record's excellent Red Bridge compilation and their debut album is imminent The Ruby Tailights won’t tell us what type of music they play so that they can retain an air of mystery. The band features ex members of 90’s acclaimed indie act Sunbear. They decided it is time to come out of retirement as well before their mid-life crisis kicks in.
