Due to popular demand 'The Go! Team' have now changed venue from Whelans to The Village on same date, Saturday the 16th of April. All original tickets are valid. THE GO! TEAM "Ladyflash", "Junior Kickstart", "The Power is On", "Bottle Rocket" Irish Tour April 2005 Plus special guests Friday, April 15th - CORK, Cyprus Avenue Saturday, April 16th - DUBLIN, The Village Sunday, April 17th - BELFAST, Spring and Airbrake The Go! Team is a 50/50 boy girl : Sam Dook on guitar, Chi on drums, multi-instrumentalist Silke, Jamie Bell on bass, Ninja on vox and band leader Ian P on electric guitar and f**ked up harmonica. `The new kings and queens of chaos' (ID), The Go! Team play a hugely anticipated first ever Irish tour next month which includes an intimate gig at The Village, Dublin, Friday the 16th of April, (Please note change of venue). Having caused a massive stir with their singles `Junior Kickstart' and `the Power is on' from their highly rated debut album `Thunder Lightning Strike', The Go! Team will treat their huge Irish following to a block party riot of a tour during the three Irish dates. The Go! Team's sound could be described as somewhere between Sonic Youth, The Shangri-Las, Roxanne Shante and The French Connection going Double Dutch - but that hardly covers the genre defying delights on their album `Thunder Lightning Strike'. There's the trash punk northern soul of intro track `Panther Dash', New York lo-fi block party of `Bottle Rocket', lens flare TV movie epics of "Friendship Update' and `Everyone's A VIP To Someone'. Recent single `The Power Is On' is a middle ground between the blazing trumpets of `Junior Kickstart' and the cheerleader cut and paste of `Ladyflash', their current single. - TICKETS for CORK are 15 euro from Cyprus Avenue and usual local outlets.
