DESERTED VILLAGE PRESENTS unique American
folk singer, ROBERT BLAKE, back in Ireland again,
playing THE BOOM BOOM ROOM (above Patrick
Conway's, Parnell St, Dublin) along with Rolf Harris on Benilyn, Dublin-Longford continuum, HOLT, on Sunday, Novmber 7. €7 on the door.
Support also from Longford Über-crooner, Eddie Keenan.
Eddie Keenan's band, My Fallen Empire, and Robert Blake also play Joe Lee's bar in Tullamore the previous night, Saturday, Nov 6.
Robert keeps coming back to Ireland for some reason and there's nothing we can do about it.
Holt, meanwhile, have been busy shunning the limelight, preferring rather to bask in the credibility that bitter obscurity brings and taking out pensions, life-assurance policies and boat-loans. They are also considering chaning their name to "The 88hh" or "Pomonaut" and writing a concept album based on the post-'Stand By Me' career of former US teen heartthrob, Corey Feldman.
