Thread Pulls 'Summer Songs' ep
Thread Pulls launch their first EP “Summer Songs” on November 6th 2004. Featuring 5 tracks the EP was recorded at Softsleeper in Dublin in June and is a limited Ninepoint Records release of 500 copies. A full press pack on this release is available from www.9-pt.com/threadpulls.htm
Desert Hearts:
DESERT HEARTS released their debut album, ‘Let’s Get Worse’ on Tugboat Records in 2002 and since then have played with White Stripes, Breeders, Buzzcocks, Arab Strap, Eighties Matchbox B-line Disaster and many more. Summer 2004 saw the 7” releases Gravitas (Gargleblast) and Ocean (No Dancing). They are currently recording new material for their 2nd album with Andy Miller in Glasgow, which will be released jointly by No Dancing/Gargleblast.
Thread Pulls:
Melodic yet lashed with feedback and tension, THREAD PULLS is a formidable vehicle shunted forth by means of insistent rhythms and howling guitars. Formerly known as Gregor57 they recently performed with Liars (USA), Tarwater (Germany), Giddy Motors (UK) and at the Mor Festival 2004.
Karl Him:
KARL HIM is a musician who produces ambient acoustic/electronic music. In his live sets he develops his sound through sampling instruments from guitar to harmonium creating the effect of a soundtrack. He has released the album "Electronic Lament" on the Dublin based label Spitroast Records, with another release due in the coming months.
