Hi all Jove will headline The Olympia on Saturday 19th March 2005. Special guests/support + ticket information will be announced presently. There will be either 2 or 3 extra bands on the night, we're just awaiting curfew times. Apart from hoping to get some exposure for the gig, this is a genuine move to open one or two possible hidden doors for Irish bands. All feedback welcome as always and thanks for so much comment in the previous post.

You were told spurtacus that the date plus who is playing at it would be announced. If it bothers you that much dont look at it.

Forget about it SPURTACUS. Appreciate what you've said & i agree that i dont want this thread to become the latter. People will go if they want to for sure. I just hope they do. It will be a great night and hopefully we'll have one or two surprises for everyone along the way. ROBBY: Had a feeling most knew, just needed to wait till it was all confirmed. Jove are signed to a Publishing Company in Europe & are actively seeking a record deal (i know who isn't!). The first album is ready. If indications are anything to go by then they'll be signed by the time this happens but things change & this just seemed like a good thing to do... a tad mad.. but we cant wait for it. Support acts will be confirmed when we know curfew on venue which does have an obvious baring so dont want to put someone up then have to take them down due to time restraints. Thanks MUTCH, drop me a line at below email and will keep you in tune if you like. I will give out the email addy again if people want to be kept up to date outside of this thread. redelephantmusic@yahoo.co.uk.

Karl I was talking to you the night that Jove played Voodoo with Lucas a few months back. You said then that you thought that the band needed to take a step forward in terms of venue but I'd have never guessed you meant that. Good luck with it.

Very epic sounding. When I saw them I said to someone that they sounded like they should be in a stadium rather than the small room they were in. I much prefered the live sound to what was on the C.D.

agreed. Though i think in time Robby that will improve. A band that can sound that powerful live need a little studio time & a good producer who can harness the emotion in each of those songs and transfer them onto cd without losing its power. There are plenty who can do that. I do feel that for a band that produce such an amzing live performance that cd's have been a let down but only in comparisson to the live sets. They'll get there.

Jaysus Vandala... some post. I missed that one. Alot of fair points in it. Alot of dodge too. I actually have seen this band in Galway where i live. They played the Roisin Dubh in June. Cant remember who it was, you or Kierry who said about new members signing up to this and praising jove but i am impartial and have to say it was just an amazing gig. Am curious as to who support will be. Think Olympia holds 1700? Roisin Dubh was packed that night, what kinda following have they in dublin vandala? Thanks for "bringing me up to speed"!!
