Evan Griffith Dando born.
<sum> 1985
Evan forms the Whelps (in Boston, Massachusetts) which mutate into the Lemonheads, with Jesse Peretz on bass, Dando and Ben Deily on guitar and drums.
<sum> 1986
Release “Laughing All The Way To The Cleaners’ EP on the Taang! Label.
<sum> 1987
The Lemonheads get their first regular drummer Doug Trachten and release their debut album ‘Hate Your Friends’ (Taang!). The album draws comparisons to other melodic punk bands, such as Husker Du, Dinosaur JR and The Replacements
<sum> 1988
John Strohm joins on drums from the Blake Babies, second album ‘Creator’ (Taang!) released.
<sum> 1989
Coorey Loog Brennan joins as second guitarist and the album ‘Lick’ (Taang!) is unveiled. Contains the single, a cover of Suzanne Vega’s ‘Luka.’ Ben Deily departs to continue his studies.
<sum> 1990
Sign to Atlantic records and issue ‘Favourite Spanish Dishes’ EP, which includes a version of Mike Nesmith’s ‘Different Drum’. Forth album ‘Lovey’ is released with David Ryan on drums.

Evan relocates to Australia; Juliana Hatfield (Blake Babies) is recruited on bass. ‘Shame About Ray’ is released, containing the classics ‘Confetti,’ ’My Drug Buddy,’ ‘Ruderless’ and their first Top 20 Hit ‘Mrs Robinson.’

Australian Nic Dalton joins on bass. ‘Come On Feel The Lemonheads’ their sixth album is released, containing the singles ‘Into Your Arms.’ ‘It’s About Time,’ and ‘Big Gay Heart.’ The band tours the world for the nest three years.
<sum> 1996
‘Car Button Cloth’ the final Lemonheads album is released, including the singles ‘If I Could Talk, ‘Its All True’ and ‘Out Door Type.’

Last Lemonheads appearance in the UK at the Reading Festival
<sum> 1998/2001
Evan spends his time between his native USA and Australia. Following a two year break from music, he begins working on new material mid-way through 1999 collaborating with Ben Lee, Royston Langdon (Spacehog) and long-time conspirator Tom Morgan.
Among the new songs are; ‘All My Life’, ‘The Same Thing You Thought Hard About Is The Same Thing I Can Live Without’, ‘Rancho Santa Fe’, ‘Hard Drive’ and ‘Tongue Tied’.
Evan plays seven solo dates in the UK during February 2001, including sold out shows at London’s Dingwalls and ULU.
A live recording is released in Australia, New Zealand and Japan through Modular Recordings. The record also feature a bonus EP containing covers of various country songs.
