I was wondering what is an imro showcase when its at home? Do they bring along A&R men? what do they do considering that they usually do them in the likes of the holliday inn, which is not a well known venue. Can someone please explain it to me as i havent a clue what they do and the bands i know that have done it have never got f**k all out of it .

the showcase tour i think is different to the holiday inn thing. the showcase tour as far as i know is almost like a competition with the favourite band or bands on the night going through to a best of tour gig which is usually a fairly big affair in vicar st and then one london gig too. i reckon whether you get to the big gig or not is probably all down to how many people you bring along on the night, as far as i can remember its run by the guy who does gig city and that seems to be his usual set up.
