Its the boring, dated and clichéd choice, but The Beatles have affected me like no other band, so of course it has to be them.
A lot of love for Wilco on this thread, I'm surprised. You hardly ever mention them.

May I suggest the use of a fancy pie chart? Dr Binokular may be just the man for the job!
Radiohead for me btw...a few others come close, but I'd be lying if I said that I preferred anyone else.

My Morning Jacket are definatly mine. Yet to see em live, as far as I know they played like cork, dublin and belfast in 04' but I was in chicago. Thought they were gona play EP this year but no, the ba*tards! They better come back next year!!!

No one is really cheating and listing multiple artists. Damn it.
All time : U2
Recently : Mercury Rev

Obviously, like everyone else I have a ton of bands that I hold very very dear. But two bands that I've been consistently in love with since I was about 14.... Blur and the Beach Boys.

Oh yes! A brilliant live band. Saw them once in the TBMC and it was one of the best gigs i've been too. Did you hear about the new live album released last week?

I thought they were the best act that I saw at Oxegyn. Mark E is king.

It has to be another vote for Eels (E is the King) but Electroshock Blues is their best!
Just for the college years and the memories I have to throw in Turn!

On another related topic - I saw My morning Jacket supporting the Foo Fighters in Canada - I didn't know of them then but I thought they were great - Loving Z right now.
I can't buy their album Tenesse Fire anywhere - can anybody help me.
