Looking at you blog post, the 100 acts.
Would they be exclusive, or will their be crossover amoungst the festivals.
Doves played Oxe & EP last, so its not a case of keeping in bed with the same Promoters.

Is it in Ireland tho? According to the NME it's just England.

Aww crap, this probably means that all the decent acts will be split between this and the EP meaning that there'll be a load of filler on the bill of both.

the battle has begun!
though does anyone REALLY think that MCD would be able to operate a boutique bash without ripping off the punters??? i really dont think so.
one of the reasons why the Picnic works is because its POD/Aikens only big camping festival bash and they put everything into it.
With MCD, you know you'll just the same old crap as always. plus that line-up sounds more like Oxegen leftovers than anything else. The DJ stuff is really a poor night at Spirit and surely there's not anyone left in the country who still wants to see Ian Brown,

is it a case of 'bandwagon jumping' Pilchard, or is it an attempt to put as many obstacles as possible around EP?

Nothing stand out in that line-up, I'd only really be interested in the Editors. NEXT!

bit of both i reckon una. i couldnt see a gatecrasher-endorsed event (and thats what it may be with those DJs) upsetting the EP lads too much. maybe its me but theres nothing on that list which is going around for Hi-Fi which would get me excited, whereas the names for the Picnic are really interesting. Plus, after last year, i trust the Picnic to get it right. i wouldnt trust MCD to tell me the time of day (without grunting or setting the security on me).
still, they have seen that theres a huge market for the EP so they want their own bite of the cherry. will probably end up as the festival to go to for those who dont get their oxegen tickets in time
