The top 27 albums below is based on a poll of the CLUAS Writers that took place during the last 2 months of 2008. Writers each nominated between 5 and 10 of their favourite albums released in 2008. The final list comprises all albums that were voted for by at least two writers (hence the somewhat unusual cut-off point of 27). Compared to the results of the readers poll there is, at least in one respect, a good degree of overlap (8 albums are common across both the writers and readers' top 10s). However after the top 10 things get quite different...
