Vote for the best albums of the year

Okay folks. Apparently the end of the year is nigh which, of course, can only mean one thing - it's time for the Annual CLUAS Readers' Poll. This year we are simplifying it and only having one category: best album of the year. In a further break with tradition we are, instead of giving you the choice to vote for absolutely anything you want, presenting a shortlist of 40 of the best albums released in 2007, as picked by the team of CLUAS writers. We're doing it this way as, quite simply, in previous years the counting of votes took an absolute eternity. Streamlining it with a fixed shortlist will make it a relative breeze. Want to help shape the shortlist next year? Then just submit an article to join the CLUAS writing team.

Before voting, a few notes...

• You must vote for a minimum of 3 albums, up to a maximum of 10, from the list below.
• For each album for which you want to cast a vote you need to enter in the box beside that album your numeric ranking for that album (i.e. '1' for your favourite album of those shortlisted, '2' for your second favourite, and so on).
• Be sure to take a moment to read through the full shortlist before deciding how you will cast your votes.
• Finally folks, there's no point in trying to rig this with multiple-voting because with the help of things such as your unique IP address and other data available at our forensic fingertips we can (and do) easily sniff out such undemocratic acts.
• Results will be posted Christmas week. Get voting...
