Zeppo
Listen to their song 'Empire'
Zeppo formed in early 2001, and within a year had established a
fanbase in Dublin, Galway and Limerick,
recorded a Fanning session which was broadcast on 2FM and attracted the interest
of producers Jerome Rimson (Van Morrison, Automatic Man) and Pete Holiday (The Radiators).
2002 saw them extend this fanbase to Spain, when they were invited to play Bilbao's
14th annual Concurso Pop-Rock in May on the strength of their second demo.
This demo was subsequently re-recorded to become the band's debut EP Uncertain Intent,
favourably reviewed by Hot Press' Peter Murphy and currently on sale in Tower Records.
A track from the EP, 'Haircut', reached number 7 in the Phantom FM charts in July.
The track featured here - 'Empire' - is the opening track on 'Uncertain Intent'. For more info on Zeppo check out
