Saudade
Listen to their song 'The Amen Room'
The four track EP the amen room is the first release from
Saudade, and was released on their own independent label Henhouse records. The
band consists of Ger Hussey and Niall Whelehan, who have been working together
for the past two years influences range from Nick Drake to Will Oldham to Philip
Larkin to DJ Shadow. Not belonging to any city in particular, Saudade and
Henhouserecords exist almost in the middle of nowhere in rural Ireland, and thus
see themselves as the antithesis of the college and garage band, their music
hopefully being a more organic and diverse experience.
The musicians featured on the title track to the EP which is
featured here on CLUAS are:
