David Murphy

David Murphy who hails from Youghal Co. Cork has been writing songs and performing since he was a teenager. After moving to London in the early 80s he joined the folk circuit and performed his own material accompanied by whatever musicians that were available. He held a residency in the Mean Fiddler during 1985. In 1986 he moved to Europe and performed in such cities as Paris, Munich and Warsaw. Murphy returned to live in Cork in 1990 and is a well know act in the various music venues in and around Cork. He has written numerous songs in the folk/rock idiom and is currently working on his second CD.
