Bluescreen
were formed in August 2000 by songwriter Steve Lynch. Steve asked Sam Jackson to
join after hearing him jamming on the piano at a party. Next came the bass
stylings of John Burns. Finally, Steve met drummer Conor Donovan at a Ruby
Sessions gig in Dublin, and so the band was formed. They began gigging around
Dublin, playing anywhere and everywhere, and in the winter of that year they
decided to record an album. Eerie Hour Studios in suburban Swords was
chosen as the place to commit their sound to tape, and Fionan de Barra came on
board (effectively the 5th band member) as producer. They emerged from the
studio in the Spring of 2001 with an album they've entitled "Exit" (now
available in Tower and Road Records). The track for download here - 'Dance the
night away' - is the opening track of the 'Exit' album
