Since Binokular has admitted to being quite fond of Planet Perfecto I though that I'd rummage through my record collection and see what cheese I was concealing at the back of the pile. Although I'm not particulary proud of this I stumbled across quie a few whiffy numbers culminating in this top 30; Junior Senior - Move Your Feet Toni Basil - Mickey Joan Jett - I Love Rock N Roll Gwen Stefani - Hollaback Girl Queen - Don't Stop Me Now Destiny's Child - Bootylicious Justin Timberlake - Rock Your Body The Knack - My Sharona Bryan Ferry - Let's Stick Together Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen The Bangles - Walk Like An Egyptian S-Express - Theme From S-Express AC/DC - Back In Black The Buggles - Video Killed The Radio Star Lucy Pearl - Don't Mess With My Man ELO - Living Thing KC & The Sunshine Band - Get Down Tonight Scissor Sisters - Filthy Gorgeous Lynard Skynard - Sweet Home Alabama Nena - 99 Red Baloons Mungo Jerry - In The Summertime Lenny Kravitz - Are You Gonna Go My Way Sir Mix-a-lot - Baby Got Back Bruce Springsteen - Rosalina Come Out Tonight 2pac - California Love The Police - Message In A Bottle The Sweet - Ballroom Blitz LL Cool J - Phenomenon Snap - The Power The Cars - Just What I Needed Does anybody else have any guilty pleasures to confess? Are there any Wedding DJ staples that you secretly love?

Maybe we're getting too far inside my twisted little mind, but I don't actually see a problem with anything in this list, its mostly top stuff, except 2Pac, never liked him

Ah, to be honest, there's worse bands than Kula Shaker. They had a few decent songs. Shame about the lyrics. And the singer. And the swastika.

Ah here Norman. You can't declare you shame for having Kula Shaker albums half way through a thread and then start defending them (and therefore your abject poor taste) later on! Hang you head in (pseudo indian chanty) shame!

Norm man, I was at their gig in Dublin Castle (with support from Juniper fronted by 'Dodi Ma' aka Damien Rice) - I was around 15 years old, front row and all about the 'Chinta Beda Beda Tattfaa Taaaaaaaatfaaaaaaaaa' So I can identify.

Yeah, I think so as well. Would'nt be embarrassed by most of those. Would also throw in the Cult's She sells Sanctuary. Great lyrics, great guitar...just general all round greatness from a bunch of hairy bastards.

Put Em Under Pressure, the '90 World Cup number 'penned' (read: nicked from Horslips) by Larry Mullen Jnr. "You gotta give, you gotta give, you gotta give to win...Goal!' Great for watching Reelin in the Years while wrapped in a Tricolour, and drinking cans of Guinness...

I fail to see how a rack from a critically acclaimed pop album is a "Guilty pleasure"? Its fun so it must be wrong or something? What would it take for you folks NOT to be embarrased by a track. I'm just curious because a lot of the stuff listed here is really, really good! I mean come on! Annie? Toni Basil? Destinys Child? The Knack? The Bangles? KC & The Sunshine Band? ELO? B52s? The Cars? lipps inc.? Brian Ferry? Dexys'? Junior Senior? - This is really great stuff, some of these artists have put out entire albums that were great, never mind singles! Lifes too short to deny yourself this kind of of fun, I mean stuff like The Smiths is great, but so is Bananarama.

'Guilty pleasures' is a bit of a misnomer. It's not that I'm guilty of liking these songs but that some people might not regard them as worthy of praise seeing as they are not in the alternative genre. Personally, I am one of the least snobby people when it comes to music. If a tune is good I like it whether it's abba or xiu xiu!
