I think it's brilliant that he'd do this, hope it wins. Eurovision could be brilliant if everyone didn't think they were above it.

The song he's entered isn't the best. Pity. On Eurovision night about 10 years ago there was an "alternative Eurovision" on MTV (back in the day where the 'M' in MTV stood for Music)... there weren't any bands playing live, but they'd videos up from bands from each country. As far as I remember, Slowdive won it.

It's a milliion times better than most eurovision entries, the UK could have entered a decent enough act called the The Revelations (sort of a similar 60s girl group thing to the Pipettes but not quite as good) had the voting public had the good sense to vote for them instead of some reality TV show reject.

What happened with Mozzer? He was talking about entering a while back.

Yeah, all talk, no action, Radiohead were making noises about penning a eurovision entry too.

The rumour I heard was that Yorke reckoned that the extra effort required to record the song, would contribute too much hot air & thus contribute to global warming.

I think it shows how much Mtv has changed ... Music was king once upon a time, even if it cost £2 to make.
