This is as much an excuse to see if I can figure out how to post gootube vidjos as anything else, but what's your fave slice of unashamed poptastic goodness from the last couple of months?

For me, this has to rate pretty highly. From P. Diddy (of all people!), seems his time hanging aroung with DJ Hell and Felix Da Housecat hasn't been totally wasted. There's a very "euro" feel to this I think. Shuffling beat and synth lines with just a hint of New Order / Kraftwerk.

It came out a while back but I really liked that track by Mason featuring Princess Superstar, the one with all those lovely young women dancing and jumping around in leotards in the vidjo. Absolutely brilliant. Downloaded it from itunes an' all!

Any chance of posting a YouTube clip of it here?

This is number one in France - the guy's name is Christophe Willem; he looks like Jarvis and sings like Michael Jackson. The song is called 'Double Jeu', a bit of disco-pop, and it's brilliant:

nice one Binokular, but as an erstwhile Mansun fan, am well aware who the lead singer of Mansun was
Sadly Mansun are no more after imploding spectacularly a few years ago, but PD is still around and contributed vocals for one of Mason's tracks last year and have to say I really like it

    Aceness.

Quite a volatile combination though, I wonder if he attempts to punch himself everytime he gets drunk and sings at the same time?

Try and find a video or audio clip of it and post it up, I haven't heard that one before.

I have to say, I'm a sucker for Calvin Harris - 'The Girls'. Also 50 Cent and Justin, 'She Wants It'.

That Umbrella-eile-eile (Production by Jay-Z, lyrics by Richie Kavanagh) tune is getting really old, but I think everyone agrees on My Love, absolutely brilliant (and not just "cos Pitchfork says so")

Not a recent song but we seem to have moved on to guilty pleasures, of which I have several.

The LastFm entry for this act is superb. Well, the intro is.

"Charles Pettigrew and Eddie Chacon allegedy met on an NYC subway train, and formed band Charles & Eddie. In 1992 they had their first major worldwide single with "Would I Lie To You?". Sadly, Charles is now dead"

I know I shouldn't, and it's probably only because I find her oddly attractive but Kate Nash 'Foundations' is quite a catchy little tune.

It's quite catchy alright, and I really like her voice, but it sorta grates after a while for some reason I can't quite define.

ALL of FutureSex/LoveSounds is amazing. I listen to that album constantly. Love Timbaland's 'The Way You Are' and Rihanna 'Shut Up And Drive'. Not really feeling the new Girls Aloud one, but haven't listened to it enough methinks.

Mark Ronson's "Version" is constantly on in the car. Albarn's "The Good, The Bad & The Queen" is stuck in the stereo at home.
