The Village. :-(
Still they're worth going along to. Last time they played in Whelan's they were outstanding. Outstanding i tells ya. The gig was one of the best i've been to.

Just in the door from seeing them in the Astoria in London last night. They were f**king amazing but it wasn't a patch on the Whelan's gig.

Hmm. Much of a muchness. Ambassador is mildly better. Why don't we organise a campaign to discourage people from buying the album and besmirching the name of The National so that it might be downgraded to a smaller venue?

Good news. That was some gig at Whelan's last time. If anyone remembers, they wanted to keep playing but they said they couldnt because a "club/party" was booked in after them. Which was just yer bog-standard Whelan's club night. Damn shame but a brilliant gig all the same. The singer seems quite uncomfortable on stage to me. Kinda added to the intensity and that.

That's right Norm. And a big load of dock the ol club/party was too as usual. Yeah, he look nervy between songs but by jesus did he belt 'em out when he was singing.
