...and prepared to put their heads above the ramparts and tell us that it was/wasn't as bad as most of us anticipated? Did Nickelback put in a star turn? Who were the Phonics slagging off? HOw was the traffic?

I went to Slane with a free ticket and against my better judgement. Well, the traffic wasn't bad, except for the traffic on foot; I spent about 2 hours in that forest entrance trying to get in, it was crazy. You wonder how they could possibly organise it so badly, especially after the queues at Witnness this year. So I missed the Doves and the Revs. Ocean Color Scene were surprisingly good, the Charlatans played a pretty mediocre set (disappointingly and in my humble opinion of course).I reckon they were much better at Witnness last year. Nickleback were predictably crap and full of it (You're the greatest audience we ever played to,etc etc) The phonics themselves played a (in my mind) surprisingly obscure set, so they weren't as bad as you would think. Still, that doesn't really count as high praise......
Did you or anyone else go?

Papa don't appear to be the discussional type! By the by, the Phonics WERE indeed a great band. WERE! All those years back when they released their first album. A real rawk album. F*cking ace. All downhill from there though. Poxy second rate pub band i.m.o.
