these are my favourite lyrics from a song any other offers:
dont drown your sorrows
or hang your head
ill come for you
ill hold you till you crack
im like the man on the flying trapeze
i feel so close to the stars
but on the ground is where my feet belong
inside here is the answer
im punch drunk but im free
Rubyhorse- punchdrunk
damienrice-amie
amie come sit on my wall
and read me the stories of old
tell it like you still believe
at the end of a century
means a change for you and me
Bobdylan- changing of the guard
she was born between jupiter and apollo
a messenger in rhyme
Aqua barby girl
im a barby girl in a barby world
come on barby lets go party
(just kidding)
john lennon
prettty much all of imagine
Badly drawn boy- pissing in the wind
and so it goes
the moral to this tale
as tortoise catches snail
a strong heart will prevail
cosmic roughriders-glastonbury revisited
glastonbury evening sun
from where have all the angels come
we could hear an angels choir
i swear we couldnt get no higher
where have all the angels gone
now that all the acids done
we made love under the sun
we're back to nature on the farm
thats all for now folks
PS he's the greatest
hes fantastic
wherever there is danger
he'll be there
he's the ace he's amazing
danger mouse danger mouse
dangermouse

This is a bit off the point but are the cosmic roughriders any good? All I ever heard was their name and that they are signed to poptones. What are they like and are they worth what is swiftly becoming a major investment for a CD?

Can anyone help...my fav. lyric in the wnole of lyric-dom is a verse from 'Lover you should've come over' - Jeff Buckley. But there is one line that I can't make out and it's wrecking my head.......do you know it??
"It's never over...
my kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder...
It's never over...
all my riches for her smile when i.......something...so soft against her...
It's never over...
all my blood for the sweetness of her laughter...
it's never over...
she's the tear that hangs inside my soul forever..."
So the 'something'is what I need help with in the fourth line above. Anyone??
Christ, can you imagine someone writing that about you...."she's the tear that hangs inside my soul forever"?...that's heavy tack man

My fav lyricists are the tragically under rated Trashcan Sinatras
so typical - a battle of wits
and i've come half prepared
i know all the ropes
but i haven't a hope
of pulling you back to me
i'm losing my grip
and sailing this ship
from barstool to borstal and back

Primal Scream- Damaged
People can be precious but they ain’t for keeping.
I got too possessive but souls ain’t for stealing.
You were my addiction.
I got strung out and crazy.
It hit me like a fever when you left me, baby.
