Ok, then, what is your 'wish' list for Lyrics Board ?
Your starter for ten.
Damien Rice - 'You're So Vain'

haha Jules, you may be on to something there...
yes Vandala, she was indeed on the poxy lyrics board (trying hard to hide behind the piano it must be said), surely a pointless exercise in profile-raising?

Glen Hansard (sorry Glen, you're an easy target), singing something cheesy from the soundtrack of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory...oh wait..ok well maybe he could sing one of the oompa loompa songs then. Oompa loompa dumpa de do...
Or how about Chicks on Speed and Dara O'Brian singing "Living after midnight" by Judas Priest? nah.. that would actually be quite good.

For those wondering..Yes it was me hiding behind the piano..it is a repeat come back to haunt me.. done 2 years ago when my album came out. I had never heard of the show. It was indeed a shock to find out the day before that I was going to be playing on with my band as a performance and then on arrival in the studio alone knowing I was coming to do a quiz about lyrics what it actually was, no I don't think it will start a trend..
...however, at the cost of valuable life hours , it was interesting to see how these shows work(or don't). My microphone was also silenced and comments I made during the show were edited out. It was a surreal experience I will not forget in a hurry and something I have learnt from. From now on, I get a video of every show sent to me before I say yes.It did pay off some debts though..Who watches that program anyway?NIna

As George Castanza from Seinfeld used to say...

Yes, Nina was indeed mortified when she discovered the true import of the Lyrics Board. According to Olivia Doyle of the Sunday Trubune (6/6/04) this moment happened when she was 'in situ'.
In the words of that great song, 'Nowhere to Run Baby / Nowhere to hide'.
For those interested in these things, millions of people watch the show in over 20 countries and, should you wish to share in a portion of Nina's horror too, there is a boardgame which you can buy.
Anybody for a Cluas Lyrics Board night in aid of charity ?
